GT TRAINING

INTENSITY. FREQUENCY. DURATION.

HIGH INTENSITY TRAINING FOR THE BRAIN

At Ground Truth, we believe that the key to successful training and knowledge transfer is for an initial high-intensity face-to-face training course followed by short, frequent practice after we leave.

We offer a range of training packages for each of our three areas of expertise starting from a 1 day 'basic' training package which provides an introduction to key models and core components via interactive and engaging lectures and mini-tasks.'Advanced' training packages offer further skill development via immersive scenario-based learning, custom designed to test difficulties faced in your field, with in-depth feedback and coaching from the GT team. We also provide guidance and resources for you to practice your new skills once we have left.

orbit training

Our Communication training is based on the Observing Rapport Based Interpersonal Techniques (ORBIT) model. 'ORBIT' was developed by GT team members Laurence & Emily Alison in 2013 based on analysis of real-world interrogations. This Rapport-Based model of communication has become a core part of interviewer/interrogator training in the U.K and the U.S.

LUCIFER training

Under extreme levels of physiological and psychological strain those in extreme conditions must wrestle uncertainty, complexity, time pressure and accountability  to operate within a set of strategic, ethical and legal boundaries. Navigating such environments requires effective and timely decision-making.

While most theories of decision-making focus on how, in "ideal" conditions, people make the "best" decisions, our work focusses on how in uncertain, stressful situations, people make the "least-worst" decision.

“It has given a completely different and much better ways of interviewing and the skills could also be used in numerous other areas.”
